The Nissan Altima 2.5 L engine in the 2019 model is capable of top speeds of 140 mph. It is also capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds. While most people are interested in the top speed of a car, it is interesting that most will never have the opportunity to safely attain those speeds. Save for places like the famous Autobahn in Europe, there are hardly any freeways with speed limits exceedinG90 mph. This is for the best, as most drivers will lose full control of the car at such speeds, if sustained for any meaningful distance. So if a car has a good 0 to 60 mph acceleration power, it might be more of a useful thing to the average driver than its top speed.
