The Nissan Rogue cvt warranty iS3 yr/36,000 miles basic and 5 yr/60,000 miles powertrain. The transmission is one of the most important parts of the vehicle. You will come into problems at some point. The gears may become stuck. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be patched quickly. There might be jerking. Delayed shifts will cause acceleration problems. Hard shifts could come up and that is not good. The transmission could slip. You may experience shudders. The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache.

Nissan extended the warranty from 5 years or 60,000 miles to 10 years or 120,000 miles on some of those vehicles fitted with the cvt transmission. The extension includes repairs, replacements, and towing of continuously variable transmission related problems.
