There are two speaker sizes for the 2000 Dodge Ram 1500: The front door panels both use 6 inch by 9 inch full range speakers, and there are 5 and a quarter inch full range ones in the back. A pair of those typically run about $45, while the 6x9"ers go about $70 for a pair. Note that if You're wanting to upgrade Your stereo system itself, You can use either a single or double din. Given the age of Your vehicle, You might want to invest in a head unit that supports newer technologies like Apple's CarPlay or Android's Auto, which is possible with various products offered online or at Your dealership.

If you are replacing with a direct factory size the 6.5" is not the correct speaker. The rear doors in the quad cab 2000 model ram are 5.25". The 6.5" speakers will not fully seat the hole size and the screw holes will not line up you will have to modify to fit a 6.5" speaker. Direct replacement is the 5.25"
