The wheel lock key in a Toyota 4Runner can be stored anywhere but is commonly found in the glove box. There will also be other locations in the vehicle where the code is, such as in the owner's manual, or the manual wallet key. Also search whether it is near the spare tire kit or in the rear/trunk of the truck. The wheel lock key is very important because You need it whenever You have to change the tire. If You happen to lose the wheel lock or bought the vehicle without one You can contact the dealership and get one ordered for SUV which will cost approximately $25 - $45 depending on if You need to replace the lug nuts or not.

After looking everywhere else, I found mine at the bottom of the center console under the armrest. It was in a ziplock bag.
