For the 2014 Toyota Corolla You should change the transmission fluid every 60,000 to 100,000 miles for automatic transmission or every 30,000 to 60,000 miles for manual. The type of fluid that should be used when You change it is Genuine Manual Transmission Gear Oil LV for Manual and Synthetic CVT Fluid or Dexron VI for automatic. The capacity for the vehicle iS5.1 pints for the manual or 1.3 quarts for initial fill oR8 quarts for total fill for the automatic. The cost of transmission fluid is anywhere from $8 to $18 per quart depending on the store. The cost to get a transmission fluid change is anywhere from $100 to $120 in labor costs. It takes about 8 to 20 minutes to change the fluid, depending on Your experience level.

If I had to change my tranny oil every 20000 miles, I wouldn't own a Corolla. 60,000 to 100,000 miles sounds reasonable.

Most toyota corolla cars require that you change the transmission fluid at least every 20,000 miles.
