The 2001 Chevrolet Tracker has a starter that can be found by looking inside the engine bay. The first thing You should do is go to the front of Your vehicle, and open the hood. Using the prop arm found on the left, or passenger, side of the engine compartment to secure the hood in place. Next, look to the right, near the battery and engine block. You should see the radiator. On the support unit to the radiator, You will find the starter. If the starter is faulty, it will need to be replaced. You can expect to pay between $120 and $530 for a new one. If You choose to pay a mechanic or auto tech, it will cost between $80 and $240 in labor.
