The 2003 Chevrolet Silverado has a starter solenoid that is fairly easy to locate. The first thing You will need to do is go to the front of Your vehicle, and open the hood. Prop it open securely using the arm on the passenger side of the engine bay. Look past the engine block and transmission, on the left side of the bay. There You should see the starter solenoid, on the starter itself. If You find the solenoid is faulty, it will need to be replaced. You can expect to pay between $23 and $86 for a new one. If You get it replaced by an automotive service technician, You will need to pay between $49 and $173 for labor.
