The 2003 Chevy Silverado throttle position sensor is located on the right side of the throttle body. This sensor is there to determine how much throttle You are using in Your truck and open the throttle body as necessary. When there is a problem with this sensor You will usually notice a delayed response from the throttle in Your truck. It also may feel like it is down on power compared to normal because it is not getting the right signal from Your throttle of how much to open and close the throttle body. Typically when this sensor fails You will just need to replace it because there is not any good way to repair it. Fortunately it usually costs under $100 to replace.

A throttle position sensor (tps) is a sensor which monitors an engine's air intake. On a 2003 chevy silverado the sensor is mounted on the butterfly spindle / shaft , so that it can control the throttle location directly.
