As the owner of a 2004 Chevy Colorado, You have found Yourself in the position of trying to locate the oil pressure sensor in Your vehicle. It is easy to find, and it will only take about 5 to 8 minutes of Your time. The first thing You will need to do is go to the front of Your vehicle. Using the prop arm on the left side of the engine bay, secure the hood in an upright position. Now, take a look inside the engine compartment. The motor itself will take up a large amount of space. Look along the top of the engine block, toward the rear, and You will spot a small black cover. Lift the cover, and You will find the oil pressure sensor beneath.

The oil pressure sensor in the 2004 chevy colorado is located at the top rear of the engine.
The 2004 Chevy Colorado oil pressure sensor switch is located just above the oil filter. You can reach it from under the front passenger side. There is also a flap located above the wheel in the wheel well where you can access it with a wrench extension if you need it. No need to remove any engine cover or wheel to access it. Just changed mine out this am.
