The 2006 Chevy HHR does not have a power steering pump but it does have an electric motor as it is Electric power steering. You can find the motor underneath the drivers feet on the steering column. You will have to remove the steering wheel molding to gain access. The cost for a replacement electric motor will range from $80 - $120 depending on if You purchase an OEM or aftermarket part. Installation is easy as well but You will have to wire the motor to the wiring harness before installing the product. The price if You take it to the delaership or mechanic will be greater and ranges from $300 - $500 depending on parts and labor required.
