The 2006 Chevy HHR features a sealed transmission, so there is no dipstick accessible from under the hood. If You suspect a problem, You can still check the transmission fluid, but not unless You have a hydraulic lift or a friend who works for an oil change shop.

It has no dipstick if it’s an automatic. Just a screw on cap to fill on driver side between fender and engine. Also a check level plug near bottom of pan on passenger side. With car level pull plug if trans fluid runs out it’s over filled. If none comes out add some. If it’s a steady drip it’s good
