In a 2006 Chevy TrailBlazer, there are two oxygen sensors with different locations. The firSTSensor is located on the main exhaust manifold and the other one is located in the exhauSTSystem after the catalytic converter. The primary function of these sensors is to determine the level of oxygen in the exhaust. Due to these sensors, the engine makes the required adjustments in the burning of gas to achieve maximum efficiency. Also, one of the reasons for the check engine light coming on is a faulty o2 sensor. Get it checked on occasion and save Yourself the trouble, especially during annual inspections.
