The 2006 Ford 500 has a map sensor that can be located on the inside of the intake manifold. The manifold is located to the left, or passenger side, of the engine bay, near the transmission and block. If the sensor has gone bad, it will need to be replaced. You can expect to pay between $40 and $147 for parts alone. Some of the symptoms You may be experiencing if the sensor has become faulty include a loss of fuel economy, total loss of power to the engine, failure of emissions tests, rough idling, stalling or lurching of the engine, and the check light becoming illuminated on Your dashboard.
