You'll find the idle air control valve (IAC) on the 2007 Ford Fusion located on the throttle body of the intake manifold. Replacing this is a very easy task, so You should forego labor costs by doing it Yourself; the cost of a new IAC is going to run around $80 on average. Sometimes, You don't need to replace the valve, but just clean it. As Your car gets older, the IAC will become d***y (or coked) because of the large amount of air processed through it. The heavy particles sort of cling to the innards of the valve, and eventually compromise its functionality. To remove, there are just four screws holding it to the throttle body that You'll unscrew, and then disconnect the single sensor lead going to it, after which You can simply swap in a new part, or clean the old one and put it back.
