The 2008 Chevy Tahoe fuel filter can be found on the inside of the fuel sender assembly. The assembly is mounted inside the gas tank itself. The filter is at the end of the fuel line, which runs through tank and into the rest of the car. You can find a replacement filter at several big box retail store locations, as well as at the majority of automotive stores, and from online sellers. The cost to replace a fuel filter is not very high. You can expect to pay between $12 and $32 for parts, and between $40 and $123 for labor.

Look inside the frame rail on the driver side to locate the fuel filter.
