The smart junction box for a 2008 Ford Escape is going to be located behind the dashboard. It will be on the passenger's side of the vehicle. You're first going to need to remove the glove box. Open the glove boxAnd then undo the bolts that are on each side. Once they are out go ahead and push inward on each side of the glove boxAnd pull. It should pop out. Now You can work on remove the passenger's side dashboard. You're going to have to take off the center panels and will need a pry tool and a set of basic hand tools to do this.
