The 2008 Ford Focus PCV valve can be found under the intake manifold on the duratec engine. The PCV valve will be fitted on the valve cover with thehose that is leading to the engine and is kept in place by a clamp. Some of the symptoms of a defective PCV valve is poor fuel economy, increased oil consumption, and rough engine idle. The valve hose can be clogged or have a leak and it can be caused by vacuum on the intake side of the cylinder head which will not be able to notify the ECU the correct amount of fuel needed for the engine. This can lead to lean or rich fuel conditions of the engine.
