You'll find the starter for your 2009 Chevrolet Aveo located in the engine compartment under the hood. Hey, don't look at me like that; you asked! Okay, I'll assume you know it's somewhere in your engine and for some reason you're not recognizing it? It's located at the back side of your engine, between the firewall and the drive axle. It's the part that looks like two metal cans on top of one another. If you can't recognize it, I'm worried if you're expecting you're going to change it out --- which, honestly, is pretty cake. You'll just need to disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the upper and lower starter mounting bolts, disconnect the wiring harness, and pull it. AutoZone sells a compatible replacement part for your Chevy, though because of the age of the vehicle, they only tend to carry a remanufactured part: DL9720S, which runs for around $180.

The starter in a 2009 chevrolet aveo is located on the side of the engine, where the transmission meets it.
