The 2010 Chevy Astro crankshaft position sensor can be found at the back of the engine near where the transmission bell housing meets the back of the engine. This sensor is used to determine where in the rotation the crankshaft is so that it can relay this information to the ECU. If You have a crankshaft position sensor that is failing You may notice that Your engine is mIS Firing or having a hard time starting. Usually a failing sensor will also turn on a check engine light since the ECU would have lost communication with the sensor. If Your sensor is starting to fail You should first check the wiring to it to make sure that it is all tight and free from debris.
