The fuel filter on a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban is going to be located inside the fuel pump. So, naturally, you'll want to know where the fuel pump is, don't you? It's inside your gas tank; handy place for it, but not so much for you. In the past, the filter was just inline with the gas lines and tank, attached to the fRame, on the rear passenger side. This was easy to get to and replace, which was problematic for GM dealerships, because home mechanics were having the audacity to replace it themselves. So now, with it inside the tank, you'll have to replace both the pump and the filter, to the tune of around $500. If you pay them to do it at the dealership, you're looking at about $300 for them to drop the fuel tank and swap it out. Fun!
This is located under the car, between the engine and the gas tank. It is a pump that is on the line.
