The neutral safety switch in a 2011 Ford F-150 can be found on the base of the gear selector on the right side of it where it meets the transmission. If this switch has gone bad You may notice that Your truck is not able to start or shift from park to the other gears. The best way to tell if You have a bad neutral safety switch is to start with the car off. If You cannot start Your truck then move the transmission selector to neutral. If it starts in neutral then that is a good sign that the safety switch has gone bad. Replacing a neutral safety switch is cheap for the part, but it may be around $200 in labor to access it for a mechanic.

You can find the neutral safety switch on the shifter inside the cab of the 2011 ford f-150.
Most 6r80’s (6 speed auto) have a range sensor/ lead frame inside the trans.Do not attempt this repair if you’ve never been inside a trans before. It is not on the outside or on the selector like a traditional neutral safety switch.
Did you find it? I'm trying to find it on my 2010 F-150
