The crankshaft position sensor for a 2012 Chevy Impala will be located under the hood of the vehicle. You'll need to look behind and the engine and near the firewall. It is going to be on the lower left hand side of the engine between it and the firewall. A replacement sensor is going to cost between $20 and $50. The higher of this is going to be for an OEM sensor. If you want to have a professional change out the sensor for you it's going to cost between $150 and $300 for total parts and labor.

The crankshaft position sensor is located in the crankshaft itself, which can be found near the engine
