The 2012 Chevy Impala fuel pump can be found on fuel system assembly located inside the gas tank. As it is considered to last the life of the vehicle, the manufacturer has listed this part as a non-serviceable part. A fuel pump has a small electric motor to make sure that pressurized gasoline flows to the engine to power the vehicle. The fuel pump should have no problems if You use the right octane rating of unleaded gas, but problems resulting from low-quality gas can occur. The cost of a new fuel filter ranges from $15 to $25 and can be obtained from most car parts retailers. It's going to cost a lot more to take it to a mechanic because it's hard work, and the fix costs from $300 to $500, including components.
It's an 2012 former police vehicle, the bottom is skid plated.???

This is under the car, between the gas tank and the engine. Look for a cylinder connected to a line running to the front.
