Where is the 2012 chevy malibu cigarette lighter fuse located?

There are three fuse boxes in the 2012 Chevy Malibu. They are located in the engine compartment, driver's side of the passenger compartment, and in the cargo area. The one holding the fuse for the cigarette lighter should be the rear compartment block. To access this fuse block, open the trunk and look for the removable panel on the driver's side of the vehicle. The box will be behind that panel. The cover should easily pop off when You release the tabs and there is a diagram on the inside of the cover, so You can locate the appropriate one that needs replacing. One of the fuse blocks in the Malibu should have a plastic tool to use for removal purposes, but You can use needle nose pliers, as well. Simply grab both sides of the fuse and pull it straight out of its place. Replace it with a new one, and test to make sure the lighter works.
