The coolant temperature sensor in a 2013 Chevy Impala with the 3.6L engine can be found on the back of the coolant line that is near the water pump. This is the sensor that measure the temperature of the coolant after it exits Your engine and before it heads into Your radiator. Measuring the temperature of the coolant is very important to make sure that Your car is not overheating. When Your engine overheats it can lead to permanent damage, as well as damaged gaskets that could be costly to repair. Always keep an eye on Your engine's temperature gauge to make sure that it is within the normal range to prevent damage.
