The 2013 Chevrolet Malibus knock sensor is located within the engine compartment of the car, which can be found under the hood. Specifically, it can be found in a mounted position adjAccent to the engine, towards the front side of the engine compartment. The knock sensor is mounted onto the engine manifold, and is used to gauge pulsations and/or sudden movements caused by the engine and its detonation. Then, it sends these signals to the cars BCM. For this reason, its an important tool that informs You of the condition of the car. A car with a faulty knock sensor should never be used for extended periods, as it can mask potential damage.
