The 2013 Chevy Malibu does not have a button that will release the trunk from the inside of the vehicle. You're going to need to exit Your vehicle and head to the rear. Look at the trunk door and find the center 3rd brake light. This light will have a black button on it's right hand side. You will need to press this button and the trunk will lift itself up. The trunk cargo area volume for this vehicle well be 16.3 cubic feet. It's smaller than a lot of vehicles but You'll still be able to fit a full load of groceries in it.

The trunk button in the 2013 chevy malibu is located on the outside panel of the trunk lid.
On the actual truck itself.Right under the light. Not something that is easy to see but you'll feel it. Just make sure doors are unlocked to open
