The starter on a 2014 Chevy Impala is located on the front of the engine blow the exhaust manifold. There are two bolts that hold the starter to the block and they're botH15-millimeter hex head bolts. The top bolt is easy to get at but You will have to remove the exhaust manifold to get to bottom one and to be able to disconnect the power cable. There are four 15 millimeter bolts that hold the exhaust manifold to the block and four that holds it to the exhaust pipe. Use Your fingers to locate the Bolt on the backside of the starter remove it. Take the nut off the power cable and unplug the electrical connector and pull the starter out.
