The 2015 Ford Fusion vapor canister purge valve is located above the rear muffler on the evap canister that is connected to Your fuel tank. This is used to purge excessive pressure out of Your fuel tank so that Your vehicle does not become vapor locked and does not leak fumes. If Your purge valve is broken open You will usually get a check engine light for a massive vacuum leak. If Your valve gets broken shut then You may get a light for the pressures getting too high in the system. If Your purge valve does break You will need to replace it, and usually it costs about $100 to let a shop replace it since it is a pretty easy part to get to.
