You'll find the 30 amp brake light fuse for the 2000 Ford Mustang located in the fuse panel box under Your interior dash. Note that there's a sensor on Your brake pedal that triggers whether the brake lights go on; this also can involve the shifter, even in an automatic. If You find that You're having difficult shifting out of park, and Your brake lights don't work, suspect this switch instead of the relay. Replacement costs for the fuse will be under $5, and obviously, it's something You can quickly swap out Yourself. It's okay to use a pair of pliers if You can't seem to grip it with Your fingers --- just be careful jabbing metal around Your fuse box!
