The cabin air filter for a 2017 Toyota RAV4 will be located behind the glove box. You will need to remove the outer housing of the glove box in order to access where the filter sits. It will not require the use of any tools to accomplish this task. First open the boxAnd place one hand on each side of the outside lower area. You will want to push each side inward with some strength and then pull. The outer housing should pop right off and now You access where the filter is. A replacement filter will cost You somewhere between $10 and $25. Doing this job Yourself will be much cheaper than the $100+ You can expect to spend at a mechanic or dealership. You will need to change out this filter between every 30,000 to 40,000 miles.
