The Ford F-150 camshaft position sensor location is different on different makes and models, however, it will always be near the crankshaft itself. If You need to replace the sensor then it will cost You between 190 and 300 dollars, plus another 200 for the labor of having it installed. The sensor is in charge of making sure the crankshaft is turning at the correct speed. If the shaft is not working right You will notice many potential problems, including stalling, shaking, rough acceleration, and the check engine light coming on. This is because the timing of the engine is not correct and it is firing badly. In addition to the immediate issues, You will also be putting a strain on the engine, which in time can lead to a lot more damage and costs.
