Where is the door ajar switch located in my 2005 ford escape?

The door ajar switch in a 2005 Ford Escape is located on the door latch inside the door panel. The switch may have some wiring problems that could cause it to intermittently go off when driving the vehicle throughout the day. If You are having this problem its best to check the wiring and the switch as well. You will need to remove the door panel to gain access to the switch inside the door. You can disable the door ajar switch on the Ford Escape as well by first turning off the engine and removing the key. Then, turn key to on position but don't start the ignition and now buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt three times and wait for the warning light to go off.
