The 2004 Toyota RAV4 is fitted with an EGR valve as mentioned in the factory specifications. The EGR valve can be located mounted to the rear left cylinder head and connected to the intake manifold. Exhaust gas recirculation is a means for exhauSTSystems to regulate the release of nitrogen in vehicles. The EGR can achieve this by lowering the concentration of oxygen within the combustion chamber. You can even strip them and clean them as they don't have to be replaced many times because they're just dusty. The EGR valve, if needed to be replaced, would cost approximately $30-$60 depending on whether it is an OEM or an aftermarket component.
