The front radar sensor on the Ford Escape is embedded within the front bumper of the car. Naturally, other sensors used in the same systems can be found on the corresponding bumper. This means the rear sensor is on the rear bumper, as is the case with the side bumpers. These sensors, which are part of the cars proximity sensor systems, assist greatly in things like parking, cruise control and the cars camera. They can tell drivers when they are too close to objects, allowing them to gauge distance easily. This also works in travel and movement, as the sensors can be triggered by other cars getting too close. This makes it extremely useful on the road as well.
