Depending on the model year, the Ford Fusion tank can be accessed by simply pulling the fuel door open. On other models have a spring loaded release for which You will need to gently press inward on one side of the door. There is no interior button. The fuel tank capacity for the 2020 modELRanges from 16.5 to 18 gallons. Regular unleaded 87 octane gasoline is the required fuel type. The fuel economy is up to 23 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway.

Sitting on the side of the road. Tried to put gas in with a funnel but won’t go in. Looks like. Steel flap that won’t open.

To open the gas tank on the ford focus there is two methods depending on the make. For some models you will need to gently press the fuel door inward. For others you can simply open the door outward.

To open the fuel door on newer ford vehicles, simply depress the door until the release latch pops open and the door swings freely.
