The SD Card slot in Your Ford Focus is located in the center console. When You lift it up there should be an auxiliary port and then in the middle there is a thin slot that You can put an SD card into. The SD card is used to update Your navigation system and maps. You can get a new card directly from Ford. You can also buy an SD card and download the navigation software to it and update it Yourself that way. Ford had found that this is a better way to handle software updates rather than connecting a cable to the vehicle to complete it.

Iv just brought mk3 ford focus and the last person changed the battery but now the satnav is not working its saying check sd card where is it located and how do I reset the satnav so it's working again

The ford focus has an sd card slot just above the center of the navigation screen. You may need to look up at the dash above the screen from underneath to see it properly.
