The location of the ambient air temperature sensor on a Ford Transit is in the engine compartment, close to the front bumper. The easiest way to find it is to slide beneath the vehicle in the front, and look up to see the compressor, which is closer to the passenger side. Next to the compressor are two hoses. The larger one is the high pressure hose. Follow that one to where it ends and You'll find the ambient sensor in that location. If You plan on changing the sensor Yourself, it is part number 6M5Z 15A022 A for model years 2015+. If You're paying to have it replaced, it will run You $80 to $110, with labor accounting for $50 to $70 of that total.
