The fuel pressure regulator on a 2003 Ford Escape is located on the end of the fuELRail. It is very important for the maintenance of the required pressure of gas while starting the engine, and for the smooth running of the car. You can always identify a bad fuel pressure regulator if Your car starts to give black smoke or un-burned gas from the exhaust while running. The engine will also not run smoothly. If You ever face these issues then it is time to take the car to the mechanic and get that fuELRegulator sorted out. It is better to take it in before it actually progresses to damage any other vehicle components.
