Your 2009 Toyota Camry should actually still have an idle air control valve (IAC): Toyota nuked these from their 6th generation Camrys, pushing all the idle duties to the ECU! In Your vehicle, though, You'll find the IAC located right around the throttle body of the intake manifold itself; You'll be looking for a black plastic part, which is the sensor itself, and will have wires leading into it. To clean the valve, park on a level surface and let the Camry cool down --- approximately haLFAn hour. Disconnect the harness from the valve, and spray throttle body cleaner inside it. Signs that the IAC may be failing include irregular idle speed, the engine stalling, and everyone's most favorite indicator: the check engine light illuminating.

The idle air control valve is located directly on the throttle body of the 2009 toyota corolla's engine. It is a small black sensor with wires leading out of it.
