The starter relay location in the 2001 Ford F-150 is found by watching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WetjBauPgrY This piece of equipment will eventually become useless. The battery will need to be swapped out every 50,000 to 60,000 miles. It may cost some money, but you will have to cough up the cash to keep your car running. You will come into issues with the battery during the life cycle of the vehicle. There can be a leak, causing the fluid to spill all over the place. The battery can just be completely drained. You will need to recharge or replace it at this point. The battery can drain quickly and will need to fixed. A cracked case could come about and will need to be replaced completely.

On a 2001 ford f150 the starter relay is located on the firewall, the power cable from the battery can be traced to a plastic box on the firewall and the starter is in there.
