The Toyota Tundra has a maintenance-free transmission and does not have a dipstick. To check the transmission fluid level You will have to go and locate the check valve on the oil pan. If You run into any problems You will have to take it to a service mechanic to be inspected and the fluid should be changed by the dealership every 30,000 miles. They are now doing this in more cars to help with people who are not familiar with checking their oil to make it user friendly. It will notify You clearly if You need some oil and this is good to check every month because of the previous issues with the SUV and their transmissions that have been a problem for many consumers. The recommended fluid for the automatic transmission is F-TYPE AFT fluid and approved for M2C33.
