The YAW rate sensor in the Chevy Silverado can be found under the passenger seat mounted on the floorboard of the truck so that it can access the center of gravity. To gain access to the part You will have to pull the barpet back and remove the bolts that are securing the sensor. The sensor is used for the truck to monitor the traction, stability, and anti-locking braking system to alert You when the car is tilted at a degree that is not safe. Always make sure You disconnect Your battery before trying to remove the Yaw sensor as it can cause damage to the electrical system if removed while the vehicle is running electrical current to it.

On the 03 silverado the combined yaw rate sensor / lateral accelerometer sensor is located under the passenger front seat.
