The 2018 Chevy Malibu does not have a trunk release button that is in the cabin at all. There are only two ways that You can open the trunk. The first way that You can open the trunk is using the key fob. You will need to press and hold the trunk release button on it and then it will release the latch. The second way to open the trunk is to unlock the vehicle and press the button that is under the ledge on the trunk. This will also allow the latch to release and be opened. If You are in the cabin and need to open the trunk the easiest way is with the fob.

The trunk release button on the 2018 chevy malibu is located at the rear of the trunk. Don't need to press down and hold the trunk button on your key fob before attempting to use it.
