Where's the chevy equinox child lock button?

Depending on the model year of Your Chevrolet Equinox, the child safety lock can be in three different positions. For 2018 througH2021 models, You can open the rear door and look for the child safety lock switch on the inside of it: You'll see a funky looking white on black stick figure of a child with a hole in its head (that's totally not creepy at all.. Nope!), and to engage it, You'll need to flip the switch to the right. Flip it back left to disable. On the 2016 and 2017 models, again, in the rear door, You'll find not a creepy symbol, but a keyhole. Use Your main car key to turn this clockwise to the horizontal position, which will enable child locks, or counter-clockwise to the vertical position to disengage them. For models of the Chevy Equinox older than 2016, You can usually find the child safety lock button on the front of the Audio system; it's typically just a button with the symbol of a lock on it, and it'll illuminate when the child safety locks are turned on.
