There are a few possible reasons why the heated seats may stop working in Your Subaru Crosstrek. The most common reason is a blown fuse. There are multiple fuses in this vehicle. The one that houses the fuse for the heated seats is in the engine compartment. Make sure You replace the blown one with a new one that has the same amperage rating. The next thing to check is the electrical plug beneath the seat to make sure it hasn't come loose from the main hiring harness. If there is power going to the seat, the plug is fine, but there could be an electrical issue. In less common cases, the thermister is to blame. This component senses the seat temperature and adjust the heater accordingly. Lastly, there might be an issue with the heater element. The wire is fairly fragile and can break. If You see burn spots in the fabric directly above the heater element wire, this is probably the problem.
