If You've got a Chevrolet Cruze from between 2011 to 2016 model years, it's because the Cruze 1.4 liter turbo engine has a subpar PCV check valve design that will eventually effect Your vehicle --- it's not if, it's when. I've seen this on every single one of the Cruzes with this engine. What You have working against You is that there are three components here that are failing faster than they should: The PCV regulator diaphragm (also known as the check valve) on the valve cover, the corrugated hose going into the intake manifold, and the check valve in the intake manifold itself. You may also have some diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) showing, such as P0171, P1101, and P2096, though there are others that can show up. If the gasket is leaking simply because it's become shrunken, cracked, or rotten, then it won't be took expensive of an repair, but once You start getting into the manifold, You could be looking at some serious moolah to address this.

Yup. I’ve had to replace my valve cover 3 times within the past 6 months. Mine is a manualturbo six gear… maybe I have a lemon. Idk why it’s so reoccurring.

A bad valve cover gasket will result in an oil leak. You may notice oil under the car or on other parts under the hood. You might also notice a burning smell while driving. They go bad over time and need replacing.

You probably have a bad PCV valve in the manifold. When this valve fails, it causes over-pressurization of the block and this can cause the valve/cam cover to leak, the front seal to leak, the PCV vacuum regulator on the cam cover to blow, a squealing noise and many other issues. Ever had problem with bolts toward front of engine tightening valve cover bolts
I just figure that one out.they come with a gasket. Don’t use because they are to think when you place them in the valve cover.which means that wants u set then in the head of the motor .there not setting all the way down when you put the valve cover on.that why they leak. And the boits you put in.sometimes they leak to.best way to fixed them.is to not use the gasket that come with it.use sealant put it all around the valves cover.get the good kind of sealant at pep boys or any automotive place.let me know how that turn out please

Maybe because after building cars for over a century, the priority is to engineer a product that fails.
