The most common reason that Your Ford Escape is going to say that no key is detected is because the battery on Your key fob has died. This is the first thing You should try as fixBefore moving on to other issues like wiring problems or fuses. The key fob is going to need to use a CR2032 3 volt coin cell battery. You'll first need to press the switch on the back of it and remove the physical key. Now You're going to use this key as pry tool to separate the two section of the fob. Once it is open You'll see where the battery is and You'll need to swap them and put the key fob back together again.

If you are experiencing an issue with your ford escape saying that there is no key detected you should first try to replace the key fob battery.
