If the radio stops working in Your Ford Explorer it may be for a wide variety of reasons but let's go ahead and start with the most common ones. You'll first need to give the radio power and see if it turns on. If You're not seeing the radio light up at all then it's likely going to be a blown fuse. A replacement fuse will only cost You a few dollars. You'll need to look at a fuse box diagram for Your specific year to see which one is the radio fuse. If the radio gets power but has no sound You may have a wiring issue and this should be looked at by a professional.
