If You happen to notice the check gauges light is on in Your 2004 Dodge Ram it is usually a sign of a problem with one of the gauges in Your dash. The most common gauges that have problems are the voltage, temperature, or oil ones and usually there is a problem with the lines that run to the gauges. The gauges light will turn on when the ECU realizes that the gauges are not getting an accurate signal. This usually is a sign of a sensor that is failing somewhere in the vehicle. Keep an eye on the gauges to see which one is out of the normal range and then You can replace that gauge or the associated sensor.

The "check gauges" light may illuminate in your 2004 dodge ram if the vehicle's battery is drained or being drained or you are experiencing falling oil pressures.
